Job Title: Peer Specialist

Base Salary: Hiring wage depending on experience
Plus cost of living allowance
Job Description: Under immediate supervision, the Peer Specialist provides client support services, serves as a client advocate, provides client information and peer support for adult clients or families of children in an outpatient setting. Services are provided at either Mind Springs or other community agencies or locations. Performs a wide range of tasks to assist adult clients in regaining control over their own recovery process, and supports families of children and youth in navigating systems. The Peer Specialist will role model competency in recovery and ongoing coping skills.
Qualifications: Must be, or have been, a client of mental health services, or is or has been a caretaker of minor child that has received mental health services. Must be able to type into various computer software applications, and must have working knowledge of Windows based computer applications to include Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook. Extra pay for Bilingual (Spanish/English).
